our company
Hi there and thank you for viewing my products. My name is James and I run a small fine wood working shop (Tiny Texas WoodWorks & Machine, LLC) in Houston, Texas which also specializes in other machine development-restoration/metal fabrication. I have +40 years of experience in fine wood working (and carpentry) and also served a portion of this time as a machinist-fabrication/machinery developer. Being my first and always loved passion of woodworking, I follow seven generations of fine wood working craftsmen extending roots throughout Europe who have embraced this trade for a means of daily living (& joy) and I've had a hammer and chisel in my hand from early childhood to today. Along with my past time love, my “day job” as they say, I've worked 30 years in the nuclear, industrial, and petrochemical construction-engineering industry.
Anything wood, art, and machine (& science/advanced physics) are my passions of interest. My goal is to share my passion and a part time wood working trade with the community and bring to customers heirloom quality, crafted fine wood work products that can be passed down generations to come. I also want to provide a new experience to customers where you are part of the project with weekly communications, progress photos and discussion, and allow you to be part of the crafted project. My roots as a child are from the backwoods of Buckhead, Georgia and the foothills of Appalachia where farming, hunting, and “limb hook”/”jug” cat fishing down a river that was stones throw from our small house in the woods were the daily past times…& let’s not leave out, wood working in our family cabinet/funiture shop with my dad and grand dad. I built below pieces, hope chest and fine china cabinet, at different stages of life (sorry these are the only remnants of old Kodak film back then), at ages 12 and 22 respectively, a decade apart!! We can build you anything, long as it’s made of wood and metal.
